Student Recreation
UEWM encourages a healthy balance between study and wellness. Students have access to outdoor recreational space, including a basketball hoop adjacent to the campus building.

Located in Sunnyvale, California, UEWM is situated in the heart of Silicon Valley—one of the world’s leading centers for technology, innovation, healthcare, and entrepreneurship. Students enjoy a mild year-round climate, diverse cultural experiences, convenient public transportation, and access to numerous professional and educational opportunities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Housing
UEWM does not provide on-campus housing. However, students can find a wide variety of apartments, shared housing, and rental options throughout Sunnyvale and neighboring communities including Santa Clara, Cupertino, Mountain View, San Jose, Campbell, Los Altos, Milpitas, Fremont, and Saratoga.
While the University cannot arrange housing, it maintains communication resources that help students connect with housing opportunities and shared accommodations.
Student Break Room
The campus includes a student break room located in Room 111 where students can relax between classes.
Kitchen Facilities
Students have access to a refrigerator and microwave ovens for preparing and storing meals throughout the school day.

Health, Safety & Student Resources
The University of East-West Medicine is committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment for all students. This page provides important information regarding health insurance, campus safety, student resources, and transportation.
Student Health Insurance
Health insurance is required for all international students enrolled at UEWM. Students may participate in the University’s approved student health insurance program or request a waiver by providing proof of comparable insurance coverage.
Students participating in clinical education are also required to maintain malpractice insurance during their clinical training. Insurance fees are billed each academic term as applicable.
Student Benefits
UEWM students have access to discounted acupuncture services through the University’s clinic. Current pricing, eligibility, and appointment policies are available through the clinic. Students should present a valid UEWM Student ID when checking in for appointments.
