CPR Training
CPR Must be renewed every 2 years.
Please remember you will need in-person Adult And Pediatric First Aid/CPR training to be qualified for your CALE application.
If you don’t plan to take the CALE exam, while you are a UEWM intern, you need to renew your CPR training every two years, it may be an online or in-person CPR training course.

Comp I
- Exam Dates: Sep 24, 2024 (Tue), 1-6 pm, Nov 19, 2024 (Tue), 1-6 pm
- Prerequisites: Ensure completion before registering. Comp I is mandatory to progress to CL5.
- Exam Fee: $100 (Pay in Finance after registration)
- Deadline: Sign up and pay at least 1 week before the exam.
- Proctoring: Room 101 on Moodle, using computers provided by the University.
- Important Note: Latecomers will not be able to take the exam. In case of failure, the next attempt will require re-registration, a $75 exam retake fee, and rescheduling.
Comp II Exam (Graduation Exam)
- Exam Date: December 17, 2024 (Tuesday) 1-6 pm
- Requirements: Complete all didactic courses and clinics before the exam.
- Exam Fee: $100 (Pay in Finance). Clear all remaining balances before the exam.
- Deadline: Sign up at least 3 weeks before the exam date.
- Proctoring: Room 101 on Moodle, using computers provided by the University.
- Important Note: Latecomers will not be allowed. In case of failure, a retake may be possible during the break (schedule to be announced). Re-registration, a $75 exam retake fee, and rescheduling will be required.
Clean Needle Technique (CNT)
All CNT certification must come directly from the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM), or from the approved school where the course was completed and sent directly to the Board. Applicants can contact CCAOM at (410) 464-6040 to arrange to have the CNT documentation sent.
CALE (California Acupuncture Licensing Exam) Application
We advise you to apply for the CALE one week before you finish the program. Only after finishing the program and submit the UEWM Supporting Documents Form will your transcript be sent to CAB. No need to apply early. Once your application is accepted, you can schedule an exam through PSI.
