
UEWM Tai Chi Graduate Recognized for Research
UEWM has received word that Timothy Tin, a graduate of the Tai Chi Program in Fall 2016 and currently enrolled in the DAOM program at UEWM, has been notified that he has been accepted to present his Master Degree research study at the FISU Conference in Taipei in August, 2017. The paper he submitted for consideration is titled: “The Study of the Effectiveness of Cardio Tai Chi for Cardiorespiratory Fitness: A Pilot Study.” This is a tremendous academic honor for Mr. Tin, and for UEWM. With this honor, Timothy Tin will also participate in the presentation activities during the World International Games as well. When asked, Timothy said he was honored to highlight the importance of cardio tai chi in furthering wellness and that he is excited to represent UEWM at this conference in August. Mr. Tin also acknowledged Dean, Dr.Chi-hsiu Weng, for his support and encouragement to pursue his research project. which is contributing to sports development knowledge which is benefiting the field of wellness and recreation. UEWM is proud to take part in such a world-wide academic as well Collegiate sport arena.
