Tai Chi Club Brings Home One Gold, 2 Bronze from UC Berkeley Tournament
The Tai Chi Club team from UEWM participated in the 23rd Annual Chinese Martial Arts Tournament at UC Berkeley last weekend. According to Dean Weng, the results turned out to be rather astonishing.
UEWM placed 3rd overall in the group event, taking the bronze medal home to Sunnyvale. Most notably, a new student at UEWM, Kino Ching-yiao Tseng placed 1st and 3rd in additional individual events. Showcasing natural talent and dedicated concentration, Kino made the school proud to call him one of our own.
The results from last weekend prove that even full-time working amateurs can compete as long as 2 key components exist within the learning environment: dedication and masterful teaching. The Tai Chi Club’s success clearly demonstrates that it’s never too late to begin one’s journey into the therapeutic martial art.
