University of East-West Medicine Hosts Photography Exhibition “Light of the East, Shadow of the West”

On June 21, 2025, the University of East-West Medicine will proudly present the photography exhibition “Light of the East, Shadow of the West”, featuring the debut solo work of visual artist and photographer Dongbo Liu.

This exhibition explores the intersection of Eastern aesthetics and Western visual structure, blending tradition with modernity in a compelling cultural dialogue. Dongbo Liu, a graduate of UC Santa Cruz with a background in game design and digital visual art, has had his work featured on renowned international platforms such as 1X, Selin, and Gezno. His unique perspective combines the resilience and elegance of Eastern culture with the strength and clarity of Western artistic expression, resulting in a powerful and imaginative visual narrative.

The photo grapher speech starts from June 7th, 11AM. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore Liu’s lens-based storytelling and engage in conversations about identity, heritage, and cross-cultural creativity. The exhibition is open to the public, and all students, faculty, and community members are warmly invited to attend. We will prepare some food and beverages for your arrival. Please enjoy them!

国际医药大学举办《东之光·西之影》摄影艺术展，聚焦中西美学的文化交汇

2025年6月21日，国际医药大学将隆重举办摄影艺术展《东之光 · 西之影》，由旅美青年摄影师刘东博担纲创作。本次展览以“东西方文化美学的对话与融合”为主题，通过镜头语言呈现出传统与现代、东方与西方之间的碰撞与共鸣。

刘东博毕业于加州大学圣塔克鲁兹分校，拥有游戏设计与数字视觉艺术背景，其作品多次荣登国际权威摄影平台1X，并被Selin、Gezno等国际知名时尚杂志选为封面。此次展览是他首个个人摄影展，作品将东方文化中的韧性、美感与西方文化中的力量、信念融为一体，展现出高度视觉张力与文化深度。

摄影师演讲6月21日上午11点开始。展览期间，观众将有机会与艺术家面对面交流，深入了解影像背后的文化理念与创作故事。

本次展览面向公众开放，诚邀师生及社会各界人士莅临参观，共同开启一段关于艺术与文化的心灵旅程。我们将准备食物和饮品请大家享用。
