During the spring and summer seasons, various seasonal related diseases emerge. For the health of the community, UEWM will hold a health seminar on Wednesday May 22, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at its Sunnyvale campus, in South Bay. By Dr. Yingqiu Wang. He has 50 years of experience in Manual Therapy and Qi Gong. He is also the founder of the UEWM. Dr. Wang will conduct health checkups and consultations for attendees. Mr. Wei Low, an experienced Chinese Medicinal Doctor from Beijing, will introduce how to use Tuina massage, along with acupressure points to treat lower back pains, stresses, sleeping problems, and allergy prevention and control. Dr. Chi Hsiu Weng, who has won many international Taiji championships, will demonstrate to the audience on how to apply Tai Chi movement to maintaining health heart condition and preventing slips and falls. For your convenience, we will provide light meal.
UEWM is the only Chinese medicine university in the United States that offers master’s degree program in Tai Chi. In order to promote this exercise for effective health care, UEWM is offering the Therapeutic Tai Chi Qigong course to the public in a 15-week session. It is on every Friday from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. We encourage those who are interested to sign up for the course.
