UEWM’s Response to COVID-19 Pandemic
Last update: Nov 19, 2021
UEWM is actively monitoring the local and global health situation around the COVID-19 pandemic. UEWM remains open and most functions continue operating as we balance two imperatives: ensuring that we take prudent precautions to protect our students, patients, staff, faculty and communities beyond our campus, while continuing our daily education and medical activities in ways that are appropriate under the circumstances. This page serves as the official communication regarding the COVID-19 issue. Please check it regularly.
Following Santa Clara County and California Acupuncture Board policies, UEWM requires all clinic workers To provide proof of COVID vaccination, or do weekly testing. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to keep a six-foot social distance, and encouraged to wear a mask in public areas of the University. Students, faculty, and staff who are ill—no matter the cause—are encouraged to stay home and to communicate via email to relevant parties (professor, supervisor, etc.) to let them know you are sick.
The UEWM campus remains open in a limited operation mode through April 30th, 2022. You can find the UEWM staff’s work schedule on each department’s door or email the staff member in charge.
UEWM has moved all instructions, including Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 classes, to the online format except the ones required on-campus interaction.
UEWM clinic is open and seeing patients in our clinic every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for all services.
If you have any questions regarding the clinic, please feel free to contact us through the Clinic director email: email@example.com
Employees should follow the work-from-home policy, which allows some to work from home and requires those who perform essential operations serving students to work on campus. Please work with your supervisor and HR department for details. Please keep your cell phone and uewm.edu email open. We will conduct meetings via Zoom when necessary.
