Title IX Disclosures
Title IX Compliance
University of East West Medicine, in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, disability, or veteran’s status in any of its policies, procedures, or practices. This nondiscrimination policy covers admission and access to, and treatment and employment in, college programs and activities, including but not limited to academic admissions, financial aid, educational services, and employment. Title IX also prohibits gender–based harassment or misconduct, which may include acts of verbal, nonverbal, or physical aggression, intimidation, or hostility based on sex or sex–stereotyping, even if those acts do not involve conduct of a sexual nature. Sexual misconduct is defined as any non-consensual sexual contact or act that violates the rights of another. Sexual misconduct typically involves acts that are severe, persistent and pervasive, but also may be a one-time occurrence, that limits the ability to participate in or benefit from a UEWM program or activity.
