There are two steps students need to go through to receive work authorization:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recommendation from Foreign Student Advisor.<\/li>\n<li>Authorization from Immigration Services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/uewm.edu\/ch\/students\/cpt\/\">Practical Training &#8211; CPT<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/uewm.edu\/ch\/students\/opt\/\">Practical Training &#8211; OPT<\/a><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Practical Training Most F1 students are eligible to be employed for 12 months in their field of study for \"Optional Practical Training.\" To apply for this type of training, a student does not need to have a specific position.
